June 18-22

Thank you so much for attending our open house this afternoon! The students worked so hard on their projects this term so it was a wonderful opportunity for them to share their learning with you.

This week, we talked a lot about healthy living and healthy eating and we also continued our exploration of 3D shapes. Alongside those two discussions, we, of course, prepared for the open house on Friday as well.

For next week, we will have an Eco-smart presentation, a Moana-themed day to celebrate the end of our Passion projects, a year-end celebration at Riverside Park, desk/locker clean-out, and a year-end assembly. As such, here are some dates to keep in mind:

June 26 (Begin desk/locker clean-out)

June 26 (Passion project celebration)

June 27 (Field trip to Riverside Park)

June 28 (Year-end assembly)

June 28 (Final day of school and early dismissal at 11:55am)

***With regards to our final field trip of the year, we will be leaving the school at 9am to walk to Riverside Park for the day. Students are asked to wear closed-toe shoes for safety reasons, to ensure that they have a lunch, and to bring sun protection (i.e., sunscreen, hat, etc.) as we will be outside all day.

They may also bring the following items: bathing suit (under their clothing) and a change of shoes if they wish to use the water park, a water gun, a sports ball for field games, a towel, and $3 for a frozen treat. We will be walking to Scoopz on our way back from the park. With that in mind, if your child would like an ice cream cone or sorbet, they are to bring $3 on Wednesday as I will be collecting the money that morning.***
