The weeks are going by faster and faster these days! We started off our week with our performance of "Olivier cherche sa place" at the Sagebrush Theatre. I was so impressed with the students' costumes and their ability to be flexible. I think we were all a little surprised about how big the stage is compared to our classroom. This week, we also saw a recycling presentation, talked about what motivated explorers/settlers to come to Canada, and finished our last paragraph for the Passion Project.

Next week, we will finish off the writing portion of the Passion Project by completing the table of contents and the title. At this point, if students are wishing to exceed my expectations, they can begin their visual presentation. Some students have already begun lots of work on Google Slides and others have chosen to create a physical visual for their presentation. If your child requires any particular supplies for the visual aspect of their project, they are asked to bring it to school on Monday.

Our vocabulary words will be aligned with our Passion Projects: schéma annoté, graphique, carte, tableau, glossaire, table des matières, légende and titre.

Alongside our Passion Projects, we will also be studying perimeter and polygons in Math. In Physical Health and Education, we will attend a Body Science workshop, one for Grade 3s and one for the 4s.

Some dates to keep in mind: Book Fair (May 31 in the PM for our class), Swimming at TCC (June 7th and June 12th in the PM), Primary Fun Day (June 15th) and Passion Project Open House (sometime mid-June in the PM).
