Mar. 5-9

One more week until Spring Break! I can't believe how fast this term went. I will be handing out report cards on Thursday, we will be skating on Friday, and we will finish off the week with a Talent Show in the afternoon. If any parents would be willing to join us on our field trip to Memorial Arena on Friday, that would be greatly appreciated! The process of getting all the students in their skates and on the ice always seems to take longer than expected. On top of all that, we will also be completing our unit on division and our unit on the passé composé.

This week, we worked a lot with division, the past tense in English, and continued with our study of the French past tense. We also had a great discussion about the effects of social media and technology on society and how we can use both of these modern tools in a careful and appropriate way. As a point de départ, we watched a beautifully rapped speech about how technology and social media have made our society into an anti-social community.

Finally, there will be no vocabulary words this week as we will be having too many interruptions in our normal routine to do them justice.
