What a jam-packed three-day week! With report cards right around the corner, we are in full project-and-test mode in our class! This week, the students did a multiplication test, finished their Instagram projects, wrote me a paragraph about how the music video for "One Day" is a good example of kindness, and read to their Little Buddies.
This weekend, the students are to complete a science experiment at home with a family member. This experiment requires very few materials and is relatively simple. If you and your child wish to make the experiment more elaborate, please do so! I essentially want the students to observe how temperature affects a change of state. Please have your child come to school on Monday with their completed experiment. Thank you!
Next week, there will be an Anti-Bullying Day assembly and two separate viewings of "Wonder", which we will watch together as a school. To continue our discussion about kindness, the students will write a movie review of "Wonder" and will be watching a TedTalk about the power of kindness. We will also begin a lesson on division.
Vocabulary words for next week: the students will be given a list of English sight words and they will choose eight that they wish to work on.
Enjoy the last weekend of February!
