The students received their interim reports today which included a self-assessment and a teacher-assessment. This interim covered both a snapshot of their behaviour and academic progress. As it is still quite early in the term, it truly is a snapshot of where they are now, but both behaviour and academics can be improved with hard work and a positive attitude in time for the report cards. If I have any concerns about your child's behaviour and/or academic progress, rest assured that I will contact you well in advance of the report cards. Alongside completing the interims, we had our field trip to the BLSC and to YPC, we talked about resiliency, we finished our research for our Instagram project, and we continued our unit on multiplication.

Next week, the students will begin their Instagram profile for either Cartier or Champlain and we will talk about paragraph structure. As we still have a lot to learn about the passé composé, the vocabulary words will stay the same and will guide our exploration of this past tense. On Valentine's Day, we will be doing various activities revolving around kindness and the Ripple Effect.
