Here's our week in review!

First, some quick announcements: I handed out a field trip form to all students today. If you could sign it and send it to school with your child next week, that would be great. For our field trip, we will be heading to the Big Little Science Centre in order to explore their interactive stations and to take part in an experiment within our Science unit. Also, a reminder that this weekend marks the end of Unplug and Play!

English: We studied the book "Explorers" and started our read aloud.

French: We continued our exploration of suffixes, did some guided reading, completed an activity with our Little Buddies and talked about how adverbs are created.

Social Studies: We looked at the impact that colonisation had on Indigenous peoples through the study of the book "Explorers". I also introduced two French explorers to the students, Champlain and Cartier.

Science: We did several activities regarding states of matter.

Math: We continued our work with multiplication. If they are struggling with the concept, I encourage them to practice their multiplication tables at home through the use of Prodigy or flashcards.

Lastly, here are this week's vocabulary words: acceptable, améliorable, déplorable, explicable, exploitable, and imaginable.
