Jan. 8-12

Here's our week in review! We reestablished routines, explored the Seven Sacred Grandfather Teachings, completed our first project of the term and started our unit on multiplication.

Next week, we will be taking part in a workshop called the Blanket Activity as part of our Social Studies unit, we will continue our work with multiplication and we will begin our first few rotations of our guided reading groups.

I am also planning on starting our read aloud next week. I sent home a letter (and an email in the event that the letter didn't make it there) explaining my reasons for choosing "Touching Spirit Bear" and outlining some of the controversial topics that the story addresses. Lastly, our vocabulary words this week are désaccord, déplacement, dépaysement, défaire, désagréable and déplaisir.
