FSAs, Parent-Teacher-Student interviews, and a Pro D Day tomorrow made this week go by incredibly fast!
If you attended Parent-Teacher-Student interviews yesterday, it was so nice to meet you and to chat about your child. For those who couldn't make it, here is the link to Duolingo (https://www.duolingo.com/) and a copy of the Spelling Menu. These two items are now becoming a permanent part of the nightly homework routine. On Monday, I will send home the passwords and usernames with the students who don't yet have theirs so that they can practice both their English and French using this program. Furthermore, if you do wish to meet with me at some point, send me an email and we can arrange an alternative time to meet!
We ended this afternoon with an Escape Room activity that introduced their new set of vocabulary words: sciences, biome, code, langue, and échapper. Next week, the students will begin creating their own Escape Room based in a BC biome of their choice.
For the Grade 4s, we will also be continuing the FSAs next week!
On Monday, look for two field trip forms that I will be sending home. One is for the BC Wildlife Park (we will attend a workshop on the Grasslands Biome) and the other is for skating. Both of these field trips will take place in November.
